Independent third-party testing confirmed that treated wood finished with CUTEK® Extreme maintains the same Class A surface-burning rating required for code-compliant fire-retardant-treated wood, with both technologies performing without affecting one another.
For projects in fire-prone regions, that means you can protect the rich color of thermally modified wood and slow natural weathering while keeping the fire protection your code requires. CUTEK® Extreme’s deeply penetrating oil controls moisture movement from within the wood, reducing cupping, warping, splitting, and checking.
