The Natural Color Evolution

While the brown color is the natural result of our thermal modification process, the silver is a result of wood’s natural aging process through exposure to the elements. UV light and rain both accelerate the aging process – the amount of exposure influences how quickly your project will age. With direct exposure to sunlight, your project may age to silver in as little as 6 months. To preserve the original color outdoors, boards must be maintained with a penetrating protective oil.

In the past, a terrace may have been just a practical outdoor area, but nowadays it needs to reflect the style of your home and communicate your personal taste while fulfilling your family’s needs. Thermory’s Herringbone decking ticks all the boxes with the inimitably smooth and pleasant touch of natural wood.

Herringbone Modules are made using our Benchmark Ash, which boasts the highest available durability class, dimensionally stable, and knot free with a rich, deep tone.

Installing a stylish herringbone deck is quicker and easier than ever before thanks to the innovative Thermory Herringbone modular system – your deck will be ready to use in less than a third of the normal time!

Herringbone modules match up perfectly to create an effortless herringbone pattern.

Starter and end cap modules allow a simple starting and ending of each pattern line.

The under-mounting strips align the boards and make installation easy.

We naturally enhance wood using only heat and steam.

Our process modifies each board completely, all the way through to the core, leading to unequalled durability and stability without sacrificing the natural qualities of real wood.

THE HEAT alters the wood, enhancing it completely.

THE STEAM gives us complete control over the process.
