No, absolutely no chemicals – only heat and steam.
White ash is sourced from North America and northern Europe. Scots pine is sourced from Scandinavia.
Perpendicular installations: support joists should be no more than 16” on center.
45º angle installations: support joists should be 12” on center.

Picea abies, commonly referred to as Norway spruce. Janka is 380 (cedar’s is 350).

A water- and acrylate-based exterior paint, produced by Teknos, a 70-year-old Finnish company.
The texture is embossed with a large roller before the black finish is applied and is quite permanent.
Due to the manufacturing process all boards will be random in their pattern with little-to-no chance of replication.
No, it is water based.
Ignite cladding can create the perfect accent wall or ceiling without worrying about any char.

No need to treat the ends already finished. Back side is already sealed. Cuts should be sealed with touch-up paint or sealer.

No, that side contains the pith of the tree and is not as durable as the wire-brushed side. There is an offset groove on this side to deter its use.

Only if the deck is not maintained properly. Regular yearly cleaning is important to remove dust and debris that might gather in the shallow areas.

Our barrel saunas are made of Nordic spruce sustainably sourced from forests in Northern Europe. It’s also thermally modified, which means it’s aesthetically pleasing with enhanced durability, biological resistance, and stability compared to conventional timber. Our sauna materials feature a variety of hardwoods, including alder, aspen, and thermo-aspen.
Yes, our freestanding saunas are made to be assembly ready and can be set up in just four to six hours by a team of two to three people with moderate DIY skills. NOTE: If you choose an electric stove, installation will require hooking up electric lines. For our sauna materials, we recommend hiring a contractor.
You will sweat a lot when in a sauna. There are several steps you should take before, during, and after your session to help your body reap all the health benefits. Drink lots of water, bring two towels, and remove all your jewelry and technology.
